I think discrediting all anime because of the series that do that is excessive. Anime is just a medium to tell a story, not a genre. You could even use cartoon as a synonym. Do all cartoons make you feel the same?
That said, I agree with you that the sexualization in many series is uncomfortable and I don’t like it either. And I admit that lately many series (especially those aimed at teenagers) resort to this to gain views. But it’s sad when someone discredits the entire medium just because of the series that do that.
Oh I’m glad it was fixed quickly
From kbin.social I’m seeing this post so the federation also seems to be working. Something happened? Was it an update?
Well, here in kbin downvotes are not federated so for me it has 41 upvotes, 2 boosts (AKA super upvotes) and no downvotes. 100% of approval, everybody love this
I haven’t played it in a while but, it was aged for sure but I carried it with me in every cave and bandit camp… so I’m not sure about nicely part.
After a while, I would sometimes set random goals for myself like just regenerate life by resting in a bed, so I would end up with a lot of food.
Ah yes, making jewelry was a good source of income during a game. At one point I had so much gold and rings that I didn’t know what to do with them so I started putting them in random people’s pockets.
Yeah, me neither. I’m always like… you two can have your stupid war, but if anyone tries to mess with me and my 163 pieces of cheese, you’re screwed.
Of course, anything is fine, except… God forgive me… doing the main quest.
Is there any other way to play it?
I don’t see why not. They were produced by a japanese company (although only partially). But if you don’t want them to be, then they are not. In the end it all comes down to personal preferences, where no one can be wrong.
Yesn’t
If you go by the meaning of the word, being an visual style, or by the japanese definition, just a short term for animation. Then yes, it is an anime.
If you go by the popular meaning of the word, animation made in Japan. Then no, it isn’t.
It doesn’t really matter, enjoy whatever you like and let others do the same.
Thank you very much for the communications! We were worried about you
Unfortunately, at the beginning of the year, I developed a skin condition that worsened from week to week, reaching a point where I couldn’t even leave the house. In February, I spent my time visiting doctors and undergoing treatment with medications, which often had very unpleasant side effects.
I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope things will turn well in the end. I wish you the best outcome.
Therefore, I decided to hold off on any major updates to avoid causing even more chaos.
Yes please. First thing is your health. For me and for many people the site is still good as it is, we can wait a little more.
Just because it’s not visible that something is happening doesn’t mean I haven’t been doing anything during this time.
This is exactly the thing that some people need to understand. The best proof is that the site is still on and working.
In fact, two really significant things have been successful, which I’ve been working on for a long time and which I intended to announce soon once I recover.
And I will be waiting to see them.
This weekend, I also plan to work on infrastructure with Piotr, and from next week onwards, I intend to resume committing, provided my health allows it. I understand if you’re exploring alternatives, but I hope I’ve exhausted my bad luck limit for this year, and the remaining time will be marked by gradual, steady progress, especially since new opportunities have emerged, about which I will hopefully write soon.
Good. But again, don’t neglect your health. We don’t want you to overwork yourself and end up worsening your health.
I always read your posts and, although I don’t always comment, you seem to be a good person. You are going through a difficult time, don’t let some bad comments affect you. I have been here since a little before the great migration and, with all the problems that there were, I saw all the effort you put into getting us to where we are now. That is not something that goes unnoticed. I’m going to continue here for everything that comes, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks the same.
Get well soon.
Oh! Someone else that remembers Monster Rancher!
Michael Jackson singing Thriller
Oh yeah, it definitely has a big effect. Especially since it’s not something you’ll notice easily if you don’t check the other instances.
And to your last question, I have no idea.
It’s not a bother, I don’t want to see another anime magazine disappear either.
I don’t know if we’ve had any updates lately. A couple of weeks ago Ernest said that he would have a medical procedure, so I don’t think he read this thread either.
I also saw that the owner of the magazine (or community) has been completely inactive for 7 months so there is no point in trying to communicate with them. So I applied to own/moderate the magazine and see if we can work it out. It’s strange that other magazines don’t have that problem. In the meantime I’m going to make a post to test.
edit: I figured out how and made two test posts. They appear correctly to me in kbin.social and ani.social but I’m waiting for you to confirm it. If this is the case we can assume that the problem is with the old posts prior to all the updates on both sites
