It’s not stochastic if you can predict the outcome (which, depending on what you think about Henry II, he likely did).

Old programming joke:
Q: How did god create the world in only 7 days? A: There was no installed base
Oh, a * peek * at piefed. I thought it was going to be some doom and gloom about user count peaking. It’s actually just an introspective.

This makes sense to me anyway, since nobody can really assess climate risks right now — just ask the residents of “climate haven” Asheville, NC.

“Dangerous and Irresponsible” is also what it says on the front cover of the Project 2025 playbook.

It’s like The Good Place but you don’t have to wait till you’re dead to get the score!
Oh so that’s what happened to Duke Nukem.

Let’s swap the US and the UK. Calling the US lib-anything right now is straight up nonsense.

Frozen turkeys by me are $0.49/lb, so I now have 3 of them in my freezer.
The MOMA has a lot of artist-created or inspired stuff in their gift shop, just in case you needed some N-dimensional placemats or something for your tablescape.
We are all made of star stuff.

They were basically hard drives where the read and write heads were in the drive itself and the platter was in the zip disc. When it was released it offered 100MB vs the 1.44 you could fit on a similarly sized (but much cheaper) floppy. USB hadn’t even been invented yet, let alone USB thumb drives or SD cards, so it was kinda the only semi-convenient, semi-cheap way to move semi-large amounts of media around. I was a graphic artist when they came out and it was a huge improvement to be able to send a zip disk or two to a printer to print proofs.
They’re hovering over North America. Bert is clearly their US operative. They’re probably about to check in with Roberto down in Mexico after having just finished with Barthelemy in the Canada office.
Much nicer than Bellagio, Las Vegas. Though in the latter you can crack open a cold one at 7am and no one will bat an eye.
^i hope I’m never in Vegas again^
This could just be an ordinary Tuesday evening on the E train in NYC.
A horrible, or — hear me out — wonderful alternate reality?

my headcanon is that this movie never happened.

As much as I’d love for this to be true, sadly… it’s probably not. But this one guy seems to think they like flute music in the 200-500KHz range. I Did a Thing seems to concur .
Ah, my mistake. I thought it meant that the victims were not individually predictable, like “won’t someone rid me of these meddling Anglicans” and then a bunch of random Anglicans get killed, but as you suggest, Wikipedia says " Stochastic terrorism…describe[s] a mass-mediated process in which hostile public rhetoric, repeated and amplified across communication platforms, elevates the statistical risk of ideologically motivated violence by unknown individuals, even without direct coordination or explicit orders. "
