I never played the Sims or GTA 3 without them.

6·14 days agoI mainly had trouble on the steam deck, in the early days. Most people recommended unpacking on a windows PC and transferring the files back then. It might be easier now, but it is more trouble than a game dump.

134·14 days agoIt’s harder to use on Linux, and lower-performance devices. I would prefer prefer having dumps of the pre-installed game folder to use on a steam deck, for example.

Programmer Humor@programming.dev•What are some of the worst code you have seen in a production environment?English
64·17 days agoSo, this is completely off topic, but some of the comments here reminded me of it:
An elderly family friend was spending a lot of her time using Photoshop to make whimsy collages and stuff to give as gifts to friends and family.
I discovered that when she wanted to add text to an image, she would type it out in Microsoft Word, print it, scan the printed page, then overlay the resulting image over the background with a 50% opacity.
I showed her the type tool in Photoshop and it blew her mind.

It does have metroidvania aspects, for sure. But if its the only “metroidvania game” you’ve played, then you haven’t really played any metroidvania games, in my opinion.
Not sure I’d categorize Dead Cells as a metroidvania myself. More of a rogue lite.

I dusted off my steam controller after playing on a Steam Deck for a while, and it felt like garbage. everything is better on the Deck, especially the trackpads. This new controller looks like an additional improvement.
I don’t see it… Two fingers and thumb make VI.

Pretty sure he’s ordering 6 in this image.

The Canadian public institution I work at has been diving deeper and deeper into the Microsoft soup in the past few years. Getting out of there would take a considerable amount of work.
