The speak English to those that speak with an accent can come about because some people have a very hard time with accents. Especially as they get older. My mom has a very hard time understanding a someone from the Middle East who is speaking English. It’s not that she is racist it’s that’s she older and her ears are wearing out. My dad is the same way. My mom is more patient when dealing with people who have a strong accent. My dad… less so.

I worked with my dad and got him to understand that it’s not that they aren’t speaking English… it’s that they have a strong accent. I at least got him to stop saying “speak English “ . It’s a small step.

My point is: talk to your grandpa and see if he has a hard time understanding the accent.

The rest of it, ask why he doesn’t like travel. Is he afraid of crime or what is it. Maybe you can show him the truth

I wish we the public had the right to vote on our constitution in the US. In the US the citizens don’t get to vote on constitution amendments. Only legislators get to vote.

I used to say maybe it’s because they don’t have money. Then I realize there’s a place called GoFundMe. Yes it might take several Tries on a GoFundMe to make enough money to move., But just keep putting the money in the bank. Not everybody will be lucky on a GoFundMe, but I don’t see a whole lot of GoFundMe’s saying they want to move out of the country.

Which ignores the fact that way too many apps and websites have their interfaces totally fucked up. So because of that many people just get really confused and then can’t figure it out.

Their usage of building was a generic term of building. Not meaning apartment complex.

If you were opening the window and they have the AC on that’s more expensive that will piss people off. Same if they have the furnace running and you have the window open the winter that will piss people off. As one other poster suggested it might be a humidity issue. During the winter try adding some humidity to the air in your room and see if that helps. Not a lot of humidity just small amounts and keep incrementing and see if it helps.

There are also other medical reasons that could be affecting this. A medical doctor might help. Be warned on the medical doctor, though every medical doctor medical professional has a small Toolbox to work with. And they tend to get blinders. So you may have to do a fair amount of research yourself.
