Yeah, sure, but there’s a difference between not wanting other nations interfering in your country’s affairs (which is completely fair) and supporting Russia engaging in a blatantly imperialist offensive war just because they oppose “the West”. That’s just hypocrisy.
They mean conscripts I’d assume. Nevermind that Russia is also heavily relying on conscription.
I haven’t felt a need to root a phone in years. These days you will get a usable UI and UX with basically all major brands and adblock can be done without root, so it’s just not worth the hassle trying to hide the fact that you’re rooted from banking apps etc. At least as far as I’m concerned, I’m sure that some people still see a benefit in rooting.
Edit: I actually just thought of a reason: updates once the phone is past its official support window but otherwise still functional (though you don’t technically need root for that, just an unlocked bootloader, the new ROM doesn’t need to be rooted either strictly speaking). I’d just buy a new phone, but that really just means I’m a part of the e-waste problem.
Yeah. I paid for Sync Pro and I’d gladly pay again (even though I’ve pretty much settled for Kbin), but I was expecting something like €4.99 not €21.99. Call me cheap but I’m not doing that.

Kbin isn’t ready either. The simple fact is that most people these days use social media (almost) exclusively through apps their phones. Yes, you can install it as a PWA through your browser, but that’s a possibility most non-techy people aren’t even aware of, nor is it really explained anywhere. Not having apps in official app stores is a major hurdle to adoption.
Yes, on the Lemmy side of things Jerboa is on the Play Store but it doesn’t allow you to actually create accounts on Lemmy instances, and even if it did you’d be back at the “you must chose an instance” hurdle.
You don’t need to be rooted. You just need the .apk from APK Mirror, then open Revanced Manager, go to Patches -> Select an application, chose the “storage” option in the bottom left, select your downloaded .apk and patch it.
