  • Or you could design cities to have green in the first place by designing for better modes of transport than cars. Cars take up a huge amount of space both while traveling and while not in use, instead of spending all that money and space on cars you can have public transit, cycling infrastructure, walking infrastructure, and greener cities.

  • The good news is that GDPR protects you somewhat regardless of where you’re from and who you are. If a company fucks with the privacy of an EU citizen living in the USA they are still on the hook, so companies generally adopt the measures (e.g. the ability to request and delete all your data) globally. You can even just get a VPN and set it to somewhere in the EU.

  • I don’t like that the author implies they should make DayZ more fast paced and focused on short rounds like the Battle Royale genre that sprung in part from DayZ mod mods. DayZ is a unique experience to me because of its slow pacing. I don’t have the time to play anymore but hours long gun fights and stand offs with characters that I kept alive for weeks of in-game time were exactly what made DayZ stand out from any other experience out there. There’s dozens of fast paced Battle Royale style games out there already, DayZ 2 doesn’t need to add to that list. If they can create a more stable and polished experience by reworking the core game then that’d be what I hope to see from DayZ 2.

  • Yeah it lags behind because Chromium is developed by Google, which is the 4th biggest company in the world. And Safari is obviously from Apple which is the largest company in the world. I don’t think the fact that Mozilla lags behind should upset anyone. The fact they can compete at all is impressive I think.
