I wonder if this would be enough to actually drive Bears fans away from the franchise.

I understand where people are coming from in the desire to trade up to MHJ, but I don’t see Poles doing that. He really covets picks, so I’d be shocked if he traded up. If he is as sold on MHJ as we are, then it’s possible, but I won’t hold my breath for that with Poles at the helm.
I don’t know what any of this shit is, and I’m scared!
The FO likely has a process for this (we hope, right?) WRT player selection. Part of that “formula” should be considering not only the best player available but also the needs of the team. Additionally, there should be an evaluation of the best player available against the estimated gain over the current player at that position. That is to say, do they project a large improvement by an LT over Braxton?
Then, they have to bring it all together somehow. Is the benefit of the LT over Braxton greater than the benefit of drafting the best player at another position over the current player while also not reaching on either of those players for the draft value it costs?
I think there are terms for these things, but I forget them.
Can you point me to his fumble stats. I had a hard time finding those, but I could also be internet illiterate for all I know.
