More focus on Gaming.
USB-C, 5x zoom, Titanium, lighter Body, etc. Demand was too high this time as most people were waiting for a good upgrade after a long time.
The only thing I can think of is that Steve would’ve never allowed cutting a part of the screen for faceID.
