True, it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth I suppose. Just another of the many many grey areas of life and trying to be as ethical as possible under a capitalist system

I’m not that kind of communist so I won’t likely interact with lemmygrad but for the rest of lemmy I’m not concerned with the devs being tankies unless they lean hard into silencing disssenting views from the rest of the left like anarchists and other flavors of socialists
Minecraft has a pretty solid vanilla experience but the depth of things you can do with mods is pretty insane. I’m playing a pack right now that basically turns it into a rogue like dungeon crawler.
Ah ok, that gives me a better idea of what you meant! I can do my own research from there. I definitely don’t wanna stay on a dead project especially when I’m still in the learning stage, much easier to learn now than to relearn later.
Is there a reason to consider sway if I don’t personally care about visual stuff and just like the way that tiling window managers function. The out of the box i3 manjaro look is perfectly fine for me visually speaking. I intend on eventually learning vanilla arch or something similar when I get more free time, but I mostly just use Linux cause fuck Microsoft and Apple.
I used the Pop Os default for a long time and just recently switched to i3 Manjaro, it’s been pretty nice once you get past the learning curve of i3
I didn’t play much of the original three Halo games, I picked the series up when Reach came out, but yea movement and controls were simpler, there was no sprint or the special abilities they added in reach and afterwards like the jet pack and place down shield barriers. It was just you and your weapon against the other dude and their weapon.
If memory serves the original halos actually felt slower in terms of movement and time to kill than the modern ones.
Oh, OK! I should have been more specific that I was talking about multiplayer games like what I mentioned, my bad! I knew about some of those games. The Doom Reboot and that Warhammer Boltgun are both sick, I’ve enjoyed both of them. I’ll be looking into the others thanks!
Really? I must be out of the loop then 😂
any arena shooter in the style of Quake, Halo, or Unreal Tournament. It’s a shame they aren’t more popular
I don’t have a steam deck but it is linux native so it shouldn’t be too difficult to get running on steam deck
True! I was reading about wayland and sway. I won’t be switching anytime soon as I have a Nvidia Graphics card and I like to play games and the support doesn’t seem to be there quite yet.
