This felt very raw, real, and brutally honest, I applaud Ren for sharing their experience, thoughts and feelings in this format.

I’m sorry to hear about your episode, I hope the time away is helping and that you will feel better soon♥️.
This week I’d like to dive more into the self-help material that I have and to also set a combo of long and short term goals.
For me, there is grief in having to explain to others why I don’t want to go.
I want to eat this! Thank you for sharing the recipe :)
This is beautiful, I feel something like pride recognising some of the communities on this and knowing that communities came together to make this a reality!
This is all very amazing, can’t wait for the insights that this discovery might provide us!
Loved the artist’s illustration as well, it helped paint the picture of what’s happening.
Very informative! I had come across some of the settings mentioned there, in Firefox hardening guides but never understood what they meant until now.
I like science, tech, nature and mental health topics and some more.
I never commented that much on Reddit and always preferred lurking.
On Lemmy, I lurk too but I make an effort to comment more, for the reason that I feel more comfortable here and I think that engaging with content posted is a way of giving back to the community.
Although I never used Teddit, this makes me sad. I very much appreciated the work of the developers and hosts of these open source front ends to Reddit did.
I’ve used several of them myself. I like Mastodon for the UI but not so much the tooth length. I like that you can filter out content you don’t wish to see your timelines using keywords. This can be done on Misskey, Pleroma and Friendica too.
Finding like-minded people to talk to is hard there, same goes for Pleroma and Misskey. This is why I like the community feel of Lemmy, talking about a common topic of interest is so much easier and less stressful than tooting into the void.
Pleroma is good too, with a very generous character limit and choice of multiple frontends including Mastodon’s. They say Pleroma is lighter on the resources than Mastodon but I wouldn’t know since I never ran my own instance.
Friendica is great for connecting to other networks in the Fediverse like Diaspora, Mastodon, Pleroma etc.
Misskey looks nice, almost like a mixture of Mastodon and Pleroma but it doesn’t play nice on older hardware, so I mainly accessed it via an app.
Those were a lot of flashes. Hope the woman’s recovery will go well, I was fearing the worse as I read the article.
What a terrible way to go, I’m so sorry they were in the wrong place at the time.
