  • 11 years ago I bought a GE Fridge, spent 4 grand on it, and all I want is to just be able to fix it myself.

4 grand, and a whole lot of viable parts but it’s designed to crap out over time. I’ve 3d printed an evaporator fan shroud, condenser mounting bracket, and sourced replacement parts for the compressor and defrost cycle diode.

All in all I’ve probably saved $1,500 in the services a repair tech would charge but in all reality, I’d have been told about 4 years ago to trash it and buy a new fridge.

  • Anacyclosis, Polybius was motivated by the fall of the Hellenistic society. When Rome conquered Greece it was unfathomable to them that they could ever even be conquered, let alone so quickly. They were swept aside in such a rapid fashion that it was a cultural shock.

The US has this image of being unassailable, but the reality is that apathy is the greatest enemy we have ever faced. We have no faith in our leadership, and we’re short on supply of actual warriors despite what the keyboard warriors would have everyone thing.

All the gun toting rednecks driving large pickup trucks shrink when they’re actually confronted with anything, and we’ve devolved into a system of cowards.

The day America stands up and puts the ruling class heads on spikes, that’s the day the rest of the world should fear, but the rest of the world can just live comfortably knowing we’re all weak and worthless.

Seriously, just look up “peopleofwalmart”, that’s the insanely low bar we go by these days.

29 years, assuming we maintain 2024 school shooting levels. I propose that we just skip the schoolchildren shootings altogether, and just skip straight to French Revolution rates of aristocrat deaths. They unalived over 14,000 aristocrats over just a two year period.

Given demographics in the US today, those are rookie numbers. I think we could really show history how it ought to be done and bump that up to some really fast math.

The real unfortunate downside though was that 70% of the casualties during the reign of terror was worker/peasant class. Getting at those rich people meant they had to go through 700,000 human shields that the wealthy put in front of themselves. I figure our current wealthy elite wouldn’t be reached until a far higher number of Americans perished.

There’s a lot of fucking bootlicker assholes out there still.
