I didn’t on my FlashForge CreatorPro unless I had an issue, but I do on my BambuLab X1C - but that’s because it’s a fully automated process using the built in lidar.

ZFS also directly addresses this issue in that a scrub can be setup in cron, which will detect any data issues and send email. One could do that with smartctl too, but that can be too late, where a ZFS scrub is more likely to let you know of issues before data loss.
Me too, but until they do it just makes this Lemmy instance - and Lemmy in general - look bad. I do hope they succeed, but I’m not sure the owners of Lemmy instances understand what’s at stake, or what it takes to run a production level service.

Unfortunately, lemmy.world has been pretty flaky the last few days, not handling the amount of traffic very well.
I would contact their customer support, it’s likely they’ll send you a new roll, and hopefully it will help them improve quality knowing they shipped some bad ones.

None - I don’t run any DE, just a WM - i3. All I need is a terminal, browser, sublime-text for larger projects, and that’s about it.
Thank you. I just discovered Liftoff! and it immediately replaced Jerboa on my Android tablet. Looking forward to seeing how this app matures, it’s already great!
This has been a long standing issue, not just in the last update. Force stop then clear cache and it’ll be better… For a while…
I use the spray cans, and it just takes some practice. If the result isn’t good you can wipe it off and try again. It’s not an easy skill to master at all.
Same here, syncthing is fantastic and I use it for all kinds of stuff - including backing up phone media.
Not this this helps you, but it’s been running solid here since upgrading. I’d take a look at the logs and see what’s going on, myself.
Definitely. As much as a centralized /c namespace is against all the principles of a decentralized system, lack of a centralized namespace results in topical duplication and hinders discovery. I don’t know how, but seems to me some sort of happy medium has to fall out.
Yep, I had the same problem - see my previous post on lagginess in this /c. Force closing and clearing app cache resolved it for me.
Everyone keeps confusing this with a server load issue, which it isn’t (or at least doesn’t seem to be directly).
I never had much luck with the layout editors, so I just hand edit the JSON. Here’s part of my main dashboard (it scrolls on for a ways, but this much was already a big screenshot).
Doesn’t seem to be a server-side related issue as far as I can tell, but the app itself - after clearing app cache it’s running much better now.
Thanks, after clearing cache it’s much better now - force closing wasn’t quite enough.
Removing and re-adding my account in Liftoff world for me too.
