Do you have a lot of caffeine? Try stopping.
If you use THC try switching to CBD
Otherwise just stay busy so there is no time to think

25·2 days ago“I’m 100% convinced that most of those denials were being made because the staff that was there were overburdened to the point of just blanket denying shit to make their KPIs”
And I am 100% convinced this type of thing is not an accident. Because why would an insurance company WANT to pay out more than they have to? Instead they slash staff which saves money on pay AND claims and the company can blame any drop in quality on the reduced staff!
It’s genius except for the part where they are killing paying customers!

79·2 days agoFor those wondering how a parking fine can be 100K, it’s actually many smaller fines:
“However, one of the cars has to be parked slightly over the grass in Martinez’s yard, in violation of a local property-maintenance ordinance, which has led to a $250 fine every day since 2021”

Yeah I am a big fan of Cormac McCarthy and I haven’t read The Passenger yet so I will be.
Probably find some more dystopian fiction since that is great as well. Maybe it will be The Hunger Games

To meet the ideological requirements of Ingsoc (English Socialism) in Oceania, the Party created Newspeak, which is a controlled language of simplified grammar and limited vocabulary designed to reduce a person’s ability to think critically.”

Also as Snot Flickerman points out there are some real “The Handmaid’s Tale” vibes here and I would not be surprised!

30·9 days ago“The rich are too rich, and the poor remain poor… (and people) lack confidence in their future, so they may be unwilling to have children.”
Sounds like it’s the same problem everywhere.
So question: will people accept the growing divide between rich and poor or will there be revolutions at some point ?
What would it take to make people rebel anyway ? I guess when there is nothing left to lose e.g. already starving to death ?
