1·14 days agoWould it be possible to have it automatically match the community language settings? It’s a bit cumbersome to have to select it manually every time, and I don’t want to ask every Piefed user posting here to change for every post they make
I would also like to not have to come back to my Lemmy alt account as Lemmy automatically matches the language with the community settings

2·15 days agoI just checked, the language settings of this community are set as such:

My account settings are set like this:

Would it be possible to automatically match the post settings with the languages allowed by the community?

2·15 days agoWould it be possible to have the language tag visible directly in the UI?
Also, I’ve always been cautious with using language tags due to the history of language settings being set incorrectly at the user level in Lemmy (see !languagesettings@lemmy.zip )
A large number of the German speaking communities do not set it automatically to German either, and their expectation is probably that if someone does not speak German, they are going to just block that community once and be done with it.
Esta es activa. Cual son las otras comunidades que conoces?

7·1 month agoI’ve started going to a book club at my local library. The library organises everything, provides the book and an animator for the discussions, it’s free. One book per month, targeted at Catalan learners.
I’m also going to a neighbourhood communal garden on Sunday, there will be a small poetry/music session over there.

3·1 month agoIntressant.
