Now the dopamine flow (a lot of) people get from admiration, is dwindling . I bet basically investing a lot of your stat points into appearance ( by luck and genes), now withering away, makes you way more determined, trying to reverse that process. Especially if you have no skill to fall back on which could outweigh your appearance “effect” but will still keep generating adoration/respect/interest by people.
