Interesting article from 2018. I loved the Police Quest games of the Sonny Bonds era. I was maybe 12 or 13 when this one came out, and I could tell it was shit I didn’t want.

This is a great write up and analysis. It does make me wonder why there are big names associating themselves with this when it seems to really be a big mess under all the cool colors not to say anything of the garbage that comes out of the developer himself.

But maybe it all speaks to a way to improve upon and move past Omarchy. There is clearly a group of people that want to use or at least try Arch and Linux in general, but don’t really know how. Providing a highly configured Arch setup, that looks cool, actually delivers on security, that is created by people that understand systems, that still allows for the freedom of choice that Linux provides, and that aren’t developed by a scumbag could be a big hit.

Man fuck that. I dont expect a tech company to be great. But I have a 13” and was excited to see these keep getting better. But that response is just bullshit. There are legitimate business reasons aside from all of the many moral ones not to support bullshit reprehensible creators and by doing so publicly connect your company to them. Well in case anyone else comes to this looking for a similar solution. I did improve on the second issue. I right clicked on the Activity Bar widget and selected Show Alternatives and chose Activity Manager. That brings the area at the bottom right of the panel to just say the current Activity. I can use shortcuts to swap between them or click on it and choose.

I still haven’t figured out how to get my pinned apps to stay where they.
