  • This is where I’m at as well, and I would add one additional point:

      1. Nothing is preventing us from using our first-rounders to shore up other weak points on the roster, taking a QB in the mid-rounds, and letting him sit on the bench for a year. This is a deep QB class. If Fields is good in Year 4, we can continue to roll with him through Year 5 and potentially beyond if we choose to extend him. If he’s not (or he gets hurt) we have a rookie who’s already learning the offense and ready to play.

  • There were a lot of great #1 WRs in the league around that time. The two you mentioned, plus Fitz, Julio, AJ Green, Demaryius Thomas, Jordy Nelson, Antonio Brown, Josh Gordon. I’m sure there are others, but those are just a few of the WR1 names that come to mind.

    In his era, Marshall is firmly Top 10 and probably Top 5, but it’s hard to say he was the best of his generation when his generation included so many incredible players.
