  • I think this is a good point. When I got here, before I started shaping my feed, it was basically rule196, furry porn, tankies and memes.

Actually… A lot like Reddit in the Digg days, minus the tankies.

Less “gems” and rage comics and “Le”, but the same idea, modernized for 2023.

It was those of us (probably in this Lemmy thread, ironically, 15 years-ish later) who outlasted the Le gems of Reddit, and turned it into the modern place.

    Then, spez. Fuck spez

  • I dunno about the code. But, they’re definitely pushing their agenda here on Lemmy.

As far as I’m concerned, it’s the only true negative aspect of Lemmy that I’ve noticed since I joined.

Everything here is pretty good. The users are mostly cool. Content is not high in quantity, yet, but it’s decent quality.

Lemmy has one real, true problem, tankies. They’re dishonest, they manipulate content, they brigade posts, they’re a cancer. They have no home in legitimate link aggregation.

If it is true that they “built” Lemmy, it was only to get away from everyone who shunned them and forced them to find a safe place. And now they’re mad that people who aren’t deranged lunatics arrived in their safe place.

  • Holy shit? How many people in Florida have been mutilating kids?! Does anyone have statistics?! This is horrible news!?!

Does anyone know how wide spread this is? Like an official count by the government or an oversight body, or something? Anything?

We should organize against this for sure. Once we have all the facts, we should form some type of a resistance. Maybe, like, a group called:

“Quit mutilating your own children, Satan! Move to California where they sacrifice all the children and mutilate babies. At least the babies who survive poat-birth abortion. And mutilation. And the pizza restaurant in DC. And all the children!!!”

It’s not great for slogans, I agree. But I’m open to ideas
