I have 3 or so servers using ubuntu server. 2x nas and a VM with a bunch of the ‘arrs’. All the rest are debian. when I first started out years ago, I didn’t really know the difference, but I prefer the smaller install size and stability of debian now.

Fanboism. There are entire data centers (like linode) running Debian under the hood. It’s stable and consistent.
