Even then, it’s not as big of an impact, because bullpens are so important nowadays, so an Ace is only pitching for 2/3rds of the game. Baseball also tends to have a lot of pitching depth, because pitching injuries are really common, so teams are very prepared for it. Most teams have 7 or 8 guys in their organization that they’d be comfortable starting. Losing an ace is a big deal in the playoffs, but still nearly as drastic as losing your starting QB.
