I love how this was one of the original, active Lemmy communities, and you’re still going.
17·2 days agoIt gets tricky, because the character itself might be public domain, but the specific representation of the character may not be.
There’s also the issue of the fact that you may be right, but still not be able to afford to prove it.
A lawyer would obviously be able to provide more details if they knew the specifics, but it really depends on the context and what exactly is being replicated.
4·3 days agoIt looks pretty similar in size to the Hyundai Santa Cruz. Which is similar to the Subaru Baja.
There’s a market for these, but not from the current pickup truck owners.
You can really only send one. The teller has to send back an empty tube before you can send a second one, and they’ll be so busy with the first one that you have to find another bank that still has pneumatic tubes to get rid of the rest of the squirrels.
1·4 days agoHey, I have a SteamDeck and it’s running SteamOS. I’m just saying that IF you wanted windows, it wouldn’t make sense to buy it as a Windows device.
Is there really no difference between the steam version and the windows version? Or does the windows license really cost them $180? Cause as-is, it would be cheaper to buy the steam version and put your own windows license on it.

131·6 days agoSure, trump can try, but he was arrested by the local police, not the feds.
That, and Minnesota isn’t exactly trump friendly.
A lot of people who don’t support trump would have to violate two different constitutions, along with local laws, to release this guy just cause trump said to.

Just start arresting the people implementing the policies.

There are a few problems with the ideal solution here tho. They want people around the victim to be able to interact with them (check vitals, comfort them, etc.) but not be in any danger.
So you need a method that’s perfectly fine for the execution, but not the people in the same room.
It’s actually a pretty tricky issue.
In a lot of ways, Lemmy is better than Reddit ever was. Even in its heyday.
He is lazy, but he LOVES signing things. He even has special sharpies made so he can sign things better than anyone else.
Depends. It’s usually not the best tool for the job, but it can do it.
If there’s a flat side and it’s thin enough to run through the saw, it’s fine.
If there’s a flat side, but it’s too thick, often you can flip it end over end and get it done with two passes.
If there’s no flat side, you can often screw it down, clamp it, or tape it to a plywood board.
If you have a bandsaw, it’s often safer and easier, but a tablesaw will get you a straighter, cleaner cut if it’s possible.
