They actually did. Throughout the war, the ROK sent about 300,000 troops to Vietnam to help the anti-communists.

Favorite genres are definitely Rap and RnB but I’ll listen to some house music every once a while. Been getting into Reggaeton and Afrobeat the last couple of years and been liking those a lot.
Obviously you’re free to dislike how genres sound but I feel like that’s an oversimplification of the genre. It’s not just people saying words really fast, there are plenty of slower rappers. It’s more about the flow and the wordplay not to mention there’s a decent amount of artists that do a sing/rap thing at the same time.
The mind is an interesting thing. People are so propagandized about the dprk that something completely normal like a street with people on it looks creepy to them. Doesn’t help that there are videos showing dprk streets on YouTube and they put creepy music over it.
I found this Twitter thread to be useful in explaining some background on the situation.
Definitely agree with all your points, set and setting are incredibly important when it comes to psychedelics. Also yeah I’ve read about lemon tek before but have not tried it myself, mostly cuz like I said I haven’t felt the want to trip but also because I saw that lemon tekking increases the strength of the trip and I don’t particularly want a strong trip lol.
On the topic of it losing the magical experience, I personally feel like it’s all about how often you do it and at what point in your life. It’s not a very scientific way of looking at it but I feel like the shrooms have to “call to you” in a way. I guess what I mean by that is you should have the want to do it not just because but because you feel like it’ll help you in your life. I haven’t had the want to trip in about 3 years but that has recently changed.
I remember he also pointed out the self-censorship journalists go through as well. They think they are free to report on whatever, but especially earlier in their careers they learn that certain stories will be rejected by their editors or if accepted by editors, anger comes their way from higher ups. And from those experiences they learn to not write about certain things because they know it won’t reach print or air on TV.
I also have the book saved on my e-reader and tried finding the part you talk about (I remember reading it) but couldn’t find it.
For sure, but as we know, government =/= state. There is a still a need for administration/government in a communist society.
Stateless, it isn’t - Federation is actually a state, obviously for the reason that in universe where Klingon Empire, Cardassian Union, Romulan Star Empire, Ferengi Alliance or Borg Collective exist, state is necessary.
I feel like the Federation could be considered stateless considering there are no class distinctions and therefore there’s no use of a state, who’s job is to oppress the non-ruling class for the ruling class.
Others have pointed out Hollywood’s relationship with the CIA and this is a good article on that topic (it’s about the Pentagon but it’s the same idea)
I’ve used it since it has come out. It’s pretty good with a decent amount of customization which I like. First installing it can be a pain in the ass as well as updating it but I find it worth it to avoid ads and stuff
Lmao my bad
