Here comes one of the most crucial drives of Fields Chicago career
That was certainly a half of football
Getting real sweaty
Screen time :(
Bro on fire right now
So if the sorry-ass patriots lose out it could put them at 1 overall and Panthers down to 2. (I believe Arizona will steal a game at some point and put them to third pick or lower). Which means bears will probably either be looking at Maye or MHJ. So the question is then, is it better to put Fields with MHJ or reset the quarterback clock with Maye and put him into the current situation?
Fields is a big game hunter. He’s going to hold onto the ball because he knows if he can escape, he can launch it or more likely just run it himself for a big gain. But, it often results in more sacks. That one offensive drive in the Detroit game is a prime example of this. I believe he took a big sack on second down and it was third and very long. Then Fields does his thing and runs it for the first down. Both the good and bad back to back. I don’t think you can coach that out of him. It’ll be up to Poles whether the level of risk vs reward is worth keeping around.
Well, we can all agree with the first two words I suppose.
I hate to see the packers win… but I do enjoy watching the lions lose…
Bears game are just more entertaining with Fields
What a terrible thing. He should really be banished to a team like the Chicago Bears for life…
Being a running back for the bears gotta be one of the best careers out there. You know you’ll get a lot of touches because our passing offense has been awful for decades, fans will immediately fall in love with you, and you’ll probably have fans remembering fondly of your days in Chicago for years after you’ve left (Montgomery, Cohen, Howard, Forte being some recent ones, etc etc)
Is that pressure?
What a bargain!
What a fun graphic.
I think the chargers are a bit better than the raiders…
If Fields does end up being gone, I think his ball security and fumbling will be the biggest reason why. Fields obviously has some limitations that I think a great coach can work with and scheme around so that Fields is put in positions to play his best ball. We don’t see that right now with the current staff. But with the fumbling in the fourth quarter, you can’t blame anybody but Fields for that. And if you’re Poles, do you want to carry on with a quarterback that has a history of consistent fumbling in big moments?
