As commented by other people: The panthers are between a rock and a hard place.
They can’t win, because… well, it’s looking like they can’t.
They can certainly lose a bunch of games, but that just helps the Bears out, since the Panther’s first round pick is already going to the Bears.
So in a way, the Panthers have nothing to play for and nothing to look forward to even if they lose and tank

I was thinking about it… the Bears win this either way in terms of draft pick. If the Bears lose, their draft pick goes up, and if Carolina loses, their first round pick goes up… but Carolina’s first is going to the Bears anyway, so the Bears win either way this game plays out
