I think more on us (Pies), Suns didn’t play that badly but everytime they went forward they just fell to pieces, either just bombed it in long or kicked it to Moore or IQ, and then we’d just run it straight back up the field giving their defenders no chance
Also doesn’t help when they needed King to be marking the ball at 75m out as a lead-up CHF, but then also needed him to be on the end of that ball going into the 50 as well
It never settled in Carey’s hands though, he caught it and threw it in one action and before Bairstow even left his crease.
The real rule is both teams have to consider the ball dead before it’s dead, and Australia never did.
Also kind of funny the English whining about “the spirit of cricket” when Bairstow himself tries the exact same dismissal against Labuschagne, only difference is he missed by about 8 stumps
