My handhelds of choice are the Analogue Pocket, the AYN Odin, and the Steam Deck. All three of them are awesome in their own way, and honestly I’m happy there are so many cool options nowadays for portable gaming.
The Shatter soundtrack is so good! Probably better than the game itself.
It’s Texas-specific, but TexasLawHelp.org’s name and gender marker change guide has been invaluable. They have the forms available right there and tell you all the various other types of documentation you’ll need.
Throwing them into a big box marked “FREE” and putting that outside on the curb is probably the least amount of effort.
Other than that, donating them, selling them to a second hand bookstore, or finding a local Little Free Library and adding to their collection is your best bet.

If you want to see the original games solely out of curiosity’s sake, I say go for it. If you’re looking to actually enjoy the games, you might like the GBA remakes more.
I dropped WoT around the same spot. The story itself wasn’t bad, but if I have to read about one more person straightening their skirt or tugging their braid I was going to explode.
