This is why perfect forward secrecy is mandatory even if you have quantum encryption on your VPN.
As for file storage, even if it’s quantum resistant, we may see a time in the future where you need to periodically re-encrypt your files to keep them a little bit less in danger

Do you have any other VPN to use as well? Like Proton or iVPN? See if the problem happens with that too and then that will rule a few things out depending on what happens
Then again, if you’re using wifi, maybe the connection to your router is being blocked or interfered with in some way by something in your house?
