  • I would definitely recommend getting the AppleTV 4k.

Most of my family uses the Amazon fire sticks and it’s great for them.

But I’ve literally blown thru 2-3 different fire sticks myself.

I have a high end 4K Samsung TV and the TVOS isn’t the fastest, but it does the job if you don’t want to spend money. It’s only good for when my girlfriend wants to stream something from her phone to the TV since she has an Android Phone.

But having the latest AppleTV 4K has been absolutely amazing! It turns on just as fast if not faster then my actual TV.

It’s also great because you can download Games & Apps from the AppStore. Especially if you pay for an Apple One Subscription/Apple Arcade subscription. (And if you do I’d highly recommend investing in a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Controller.) Since most games do need an actual controller to play.

And having an iPhone & Mac I love being able to Airplay/Cast my phone screen or Mac to the TV so I can actually see things bigger and see how it will come out if I making a presentation or something.

Then when I also love being able to play games that are on my phone that aren’t available on AppleTV yet like Monopoly or some other games.

And last but certainly not least, having your AppleTV to connect and control your HomeKit Smart devices. It’s great to have especially since a storm just knocked out my old HomePod. And it’s nice to know that even tho my HomePod broke, my AppleTV still acts as the new main Device or backup.

Plus you can also SideLoad Apps to your AppleTV. Like I have a Movie/TV Streamer Application. And I also have an Emulator Application that has multiple emulators that I can play old games with.

So there’s definitely a lot of great advantages to having an AppleTV.

Is it worth it to you is the real question and what you’re main purposes of using it for?

And since you do have a 4K TV like myself I’d recommend getting the 4K High Speed HDMI cable (It’s like $10 at the very most) so you can actually get the Maximum Image Quality and Speed.

Because in the Settings there’s a setting called Chroma and if you just have a normal old HDMI cable you will still get High-Quality picture that is compatible with most TV’s and HDMI Cables. With the 4:2:0 setting.

But if you have the higher speed HDMI Cable you can set it to the 4:2:2 Chroma setting and it will improve clarity, but does require the High Speed Cable.

Hope this helps with any questions you might have had!
