  • Looks like the UK and US are starting to become somewhat sane in regards to this. We should not be asking for peoples gender; we should be asking for their biological sex. Regardless of which gender you want to be, it doesn’t change your sex, no matter how many chemical cocktails you might take to try and change it. You can still be whatever gender you want to call yourself, but this is for identification records only.

I can’t just call myself a 5ft Japanese Man because I feel like I would like to be one of those. I have to identify correctly and according to factual record.

  • So tell me your solution. What’s your plan? The choice is A or B (realistically).

    • A guts voting laws, starts war within the nation, guts the basic idea of abiding by the law, pulls out the most racist of the nation and orders them to attack anyone without the right skin color, pardons insurrectionists, pardons crypto scammers, packs every governmental institution with people who pledge loyalty to HIM and not the nation or constitution…

    • B doesn’t do any of those things…but laughs a little funny, and is a brown woman (oohhh scary!).

There’s no C. A or B. What’s your plan? I know what I voted for. Did you even vote?

I can pay $3 to ride the train to midtown in ~40 minutes. Or I could drive, and deal with all the pain points of traffic and parking and take… ~40 minutes.

That’s great if your life is so droll that anything and everything you do fits within a 20sq mi radius.

You can’t take a train to go spelunking a mountain cave. Cars win in point-to-point flexibility, and freedom of travel on your schedule, not the trains.

If I want to go somewhere at 3am, I can hop in my car and go. It’s more common for trains to run from 5am to Midnight, and I’m a night owl.

Everyone who argues against cars always forgets that not everywhere is a densely packed city. Many of us like to travel much broader ranges. Sure, some NEET doesn’t care about that freedom, but plenty of us do. Many of us live in mountain ranges and trains aren’t exactly some great solution here.

Obviously the second half was being sarcastic.

I’d be okay with people being ticketed for driving trucks with only 1 passenger and not using them for hauling anything. I’d love to see smaller cars on the road that were designed to only hold a single person and be as efficient at that task as possible.

Trains, and busses, are a huge tradeoff in time savings. And have you seen the types of people who take trains/busses? No fucking thanks.
