I know this is likely highly illegal, but I wonder if these abandoned crews could seize these ships and sell them, even if only for scrap.
There’s likely some unscrupulous folks out there willing to buy them.

Now I want to see a glyphid grabbing a cape and dragging off a dwarf.
I have never seen such a tool, but that sounds like a neat idea.
I’d suggest instead you look for the style of beers you enjoyed over there to find new beers. Was it Belgian ales? Witbier? Maybe a Bock, or something darker like a Dunkelweisen?
There are lots of different styles, and most microbreweries make a few different ones. Frankly, there’s never been a better time to find new beers, I’m always seeing new ones in the stores.
This article reads like a Twilight Zone episode turned to the “nightmare” setting.
I think there is, when you or a business is purchasing a complete product from another country. But if you are a Canadian company, there are no tariffs if you’re manufacturing a product in another country and then selling it in Canada.
I think.
Tariffs are too complicated, and I won’t be surprised if something I said is wrong.
Prequelmemes is leaking… and mutating?
There was a second part to this? I only saw the first. Although, I think I see why it was cut out…
Bringing Ducks Some Munchies
Unless it is mercury. Poisoning.
Oh no, the rickitus rolliosis virus is spreading!
If a lootbug gets electrocuted in a cave, does a dwarf still die a little each time?
I agree with Barbarian’s take. Zuck can start an instance and scrape everything on the Fediverse right now. Sure, we could watch for and block any instance coming from Meta. Then Zuck could pay a third party to do it for him.
It’s the old adage, what you post on the internet stays on the internet.
So really, that shouldn’t be a reason to defederate, since it won’t solve the issue of Zuck getting his grubby mitts on our posts and comments.
And besides, he still has the problem of linking that info to a real person.
As it stands currently, automation hurts everyone except the business.
When a business replaces a job with automation, they do it because it will save them money. They no longer have to pay a wage and the associated taxes with it, like EI, CPP, or worker’s compensation.
This hurts the worker, obviously, but it also hurts the government. There is now less revenue in the form of income tax. Currently, the majority of government revenue comes from income tax. This means less money for healthcare, education, and other government programs.
I’m not against automation, but I think it needs to be done responsibly. We should start taxing automation where it replaces a job, and use that money to help retrain workers for new jobs.
I’ve been seeing that error, and sometimes when I click on a post it sends me to an error page instead. Reloading seems to work, eventually.
I think it’ll come down to people keeping an eye out for shady things like you described. Just like a lock only keeps the honest out, people will find ways to break any rules we put in place.
Ideally, I think that we’d want to have things so that we vote on policies and then the policies are implemented by the admin staff.
I’ve been having the same thought, that we can create policies, or “laws” that the admins can then use to decide things like defederation or removing communities.
Seeing how the discussions have gone about defederation, I imagine the Discussion thread deciding what the triggers would be will get a bit spicy.
I think that after this vote is done, we should open a new discussion thread on voting so folks can give their feedback on the process.
I think that would be overkill. The current Vote thread has 327 upvotes and 419 comments, so it’s definitely being seen.
DID I HEAR A ROCK AND STONE?
I’m enjoying it so far. The new mobs are fun and mix well with the others. The new cave type for the morkite seed missions is confusing though, I keep getting lost in them. Hopefully they’ll start making sense soon.
