  • “As the Conservative Party of BC weathered an onslaught of campaign controversies involving hateful comments made by candidates in the past and during the provincial election, leader John Rustad did nothing. Rustad either abdicated his responsibilities as leader, or didn’t understand the assignment.”

He understood perfectly well. His actions fully endorse the abominable behaviour of his party members. He was hoping that the election would go in his favour so he could believe that the majority of British Columbian’s share the views of his morally repugnant cohorts. But we don’t. And we didn’t vote them in.

  • It is a nail biter. The conservatives have gone from getting 2% of the popular vote to 44%. There are a lot of grievances right now. And the incumbent party has been in power for a long time and there’s a natural tendency here to alternate between parties so there’s pressure from people who don’t have as much specific desire for any given policy but just sort of vaguely feel like things would be better if we shook things up.

The votes are so close right now that we won’t know the outcome until closer to Oct. 26th when we expect all the mail in ballots to have been received and counted.

  • That’s def a way to get dumber tvs! Though I’m fine buying a smart tv as long as I can keep it 100% isolated from the internet and just use the hdmi inputs and pretend the smart stuff isn’t there. idk if they have gotten quite so malicious yet that you can’t even plug one in without it demanding to be connected to the internet and forcing you to agree to a eula. Roku comes close if I remember. But those shenanigans happened because tv’s were connected and downloaded an update. So whatever is cheaper for the features I care about and I think digital signage you pay a premium for. But I won’t count it out! Thank you
