1 year agoThe biggest problem isn’t that 8gb of RAM isn’t enough…
It’s that you cannot change the RAM after buying it, so if you’re just under an 8gb RAM headroom now, you’ll be over it in a year’s time and you’ll never be able to change it for the next four years minimum of ownership.
‘Always buy as much RAM as you can afford and NEVER buy 8gb, if you can only afford 8gb, save until you can afford 16.’
Bpuggt an M1 Pro then I accidentally put a small scratch on the short vertical side facing towards me after about 2 weeks of use.
Apple make really nice stuff that definitely encourages people to keep it ‘pristine’ but I’m honestly glad I’m not the kind of person that cares, this will be one of many scratches and nicks the product sees over it’s five year life.
Funny thing is I haven’t scratched it since and it’s been about 18 months since then.
