I like watchOS 10. A lot.
I’ve had an Apple Watch since Series 3 and watchOS 4, so I have quite a bit of experience with watchOS.
I’m already use to clicking the side button to bring up Control Center instead of swiping up.
I like how the view of the big Activity wheel snaps into place and stays when I click the crown to go back home (watchOS 9 and older always had it scroll up slightly off the screen, which always bothered me)
I no longer accidentally switch faces without meaning it. The inside of my coat sleeve is somehow conductive enough that it would register as touches/swipes, so I’d have a different watch face every few minutes. With watchOS 10 it’s like they are “locked” in place now.
I like how apps are in an organized, tall column that I can scroll through instead of a chaotic blob that required me to pan all over, trying to find things.
I like how a quick scroll of the wheel gives me a glance at some apps like weather or activity without having to open them.
Basically, I’m more than happy with watchOS 10, and I think it’s one of the best releases, ever.
I keep “Always On” turned off because I hated the fucking burn-in my Series 5 had developed. Any time I’d bring up Settings or Notifications or Control Center (anything with a dark background) I would see the shapes of my watch face still. Loading a light image would make it quite visible that “shadows” of my old watch face & compilation weren’t going anywhere.
I got my watch replaced for free under Apple Care, and I hope to keep this new Series 5 in better shape.
