SEA @ DAL - There are a couple of narratives (locally anyway) that I keep hearing about this game as to why the Seahawks will win this. 1) Seahawks play well in Primetime, 2) the Cowboys haven’t beat any good teams. One, playing in Primetime is not some magic bullet for winning games, and two, The Seahawks are not a good team. The Seahawks have a winning record. That isn’t the same as being good. And if you look, the Seahawks have beat one good team: The Lions back in week 2. The rest of those wins come against the likes of the Giants, Cardinals, and Commanders. I’m expecting another blowout here, and I’ll be pleasently surprised if we make it competitive.

    Sunday
LAC @ NE - The Chargers seems to having a rough go of it, but if there is any team out there that can throw 'em a bone it’ll be the Patriots.

DET @ NO - This will be one of those “get right games” for the Lions after an embarrassing Thanksgiving performance.

    ATL @ NYJ

    AZ @ PIT

    IND @ TEN

    MIA @ WA

DEN @ HOU - I am pretty high on the Texans right now, even after losing to the Jags last week, but dammit, the Broncos are on a streak right now.

CAR @ TB - As bad as the Bucs have looked, the Panthers have looked worse. Maybe the recent coaching change in Carolina will help, but something tells me the problems there are a lot deeper than one coach.

    CLE @ LAR

SF @ PHI - This should get flexed to Sunday night. I’m giving the edge to the Niners here just because they have a couple extra days of rest after their mini bye against the Seahawks on Thanksgiving.

    KC @ GB

    Monday
    CIN @ JAX

  • 10-4 last week and 96-68 on the season.

    On to Turkey week.

    Predicted winners in BOLD.

    And awaaaay we go…

    Thursday
GB @ DET - The Lions are just too good. Plus, I’d like to see them go all the way.

WAS @ DAL - The Commanders are so goddamn inconsistent, that I can also see this game going in the opposite direction where they blow out the Cowboys, thanks to an overconfidence that would be completely justified.

SF @ SEA - I have a feeling that the Niners will be eating turkey on our logo at centerfield this year, however foolish homer pride will not allow me to pick them to win even for fake internet points. The thing is, I believe the Seahawks have the talent to win, there is just something missing. I don’t know if it is play-calling, coaching, youthful inexperience or what. I just wish they would figure it the fuck out.

    Friday
    MIA @ NYJ - Yeah… no.

    Sunday
NO @ ATL - I’m only picking the Saints because they have the better record. Neither of these teams inspire confidence.

PIT @ CIN - The Steelers - 1 Matt Canada + The Bengals - 1 Joe Burrow = Steelers win. (Math was, admittedly, never my strongest subject, but I think this checks out.)

JAX @ HOU - The Texans have been on a bit of a tear the last few weeks, and I think that trend will continue this week against the Jags. Plus, I just want the Texans to do well. I personally have no dog in this fight, but buddy of mine from Houston is a HUGE fan, and I just want him to be happy.

TB @ IND - I’m only picking the Colts for the same reason I picked the Saints.

NE @ NYG - Is it just me or do the Giants either win big, or just get completely blown the fuck up? There is no middle ground. I’d have to check their full schedule to be sure, but it sure seems that way. Fortunately for the G-Men, they are going up against the Patriots who are in just as bad, if not worse shape.

CAR @ TEN - I can’t really picture this Panthers squad getting a win against this Tits squad.

LAR @ AZ - As bad as the Rams have been this season, the Cardinals have been worse. I know, I know, I’ve repeatedly said that the Cardinals were better than their record suggests. That was when Dobbs was still on the team though.

CLE @ DEN - The Broncos are playing some sloppy-ass football, but it is good enough to win. Which is a trend I think they will continue this week.

KC @ LV - Divisional games tend to be weird, so this going the other way wouldn’t surprise me.

BUF @ PHI - 10 weeks ago this would have been a great matchup. But with the Bills struggles over the last several weeks, the Eagles should have this one in the bag.

    BAL @ LAC - Yeah, moving on…

    Monday
CHI @ MIN - The Vikings game against the Broncos last week was completely winnable, and they had them on the ropes for most of that game. I think the Vikings will bounce back against the Bears this week.

  • 11-3 last week, bringing me to 87-63 on the season so far.
    On to week 11.
    Predicted winners in BOLD.
    Here.
    We.
    GO!

    Thursday
CIN @ BAL - Thursday night games are usually a shit-show, however considering the teams playing this week, we have the potential for a great game. Having said that, I’m sure I just jinxed it. Sorry in advance.

    Sunday
DAL @ CAR - I mean… c’mon. I’d be more than happy to be proven wrong, Panthers.

PIT @ CLE - Seems like these are always tough matchups. However, a lot seems to have changed with the Browns since week two.

CHI @ DET - Bears will put up a fight, but the Lions are just having one of those years, man.

LAC @ GB - Both of these teams kinda look like a hot mess right now, so the Pack at home, I guess?

AZ @ HOU - So, I guess Kyler Murray is back? Like most, I’m sure, I did not see the Cards winning against the Falcons last week. Houston seems to be on a tear after just handing a beating down to the Bengals in week 10.

TEN @ JAX - Alright, Titans. I’m giving you one more chance…

LV @ MIA - Dolphins are coming off their bye, and the Raiders are pretty banged up.

NYG @ WA - The last time I was this confident in a Commanders win, they got their asses handed to them by the Bears. I don’t think it’ll happen twice, but it is in the back of my mind.

TB @ SF - Alright, Bucs. You have one job. I picked the Niners to win this, but I’m rootin’ for you.

NYJ @ BUF - If this were the Sunday Night game, I might pick differently, because nationally televised games seem to be when the weird shit goes down.

SEA @ LAR - The Rams are always a tough opponent for the Seahawks. We could have a 17-0 season and still lose to the Rams twice. It’s weird, but McVay will find a way. I am confident though that this time will be different. Because I’m a delusional homer.

MIN @ DEN - I’m all aboard for the Dobbs Hype Train. Choo choo, mutherfuckers.

    Monday
PHI @ KC - Both teams comin’ off their byes, so I’m sure both will forget how to football, and what should be a good game will be a surprising disaster.

BYES: ATL, IND, NE & NO

  • LOL… I’m so bad at this.
7-7 last week, bringing me to 76-60 on the season.
    Whatever, on to week 10.

    Thursday
CAR @ CHI - Shit, man. What do I know? This game is either going to be awesome, or so bad it’s good.

    Sunday
IND @ NE - Jesus, watching the Patriots fall has been a bit of a trip that I’m still not used to.

CLE @ BAL - It’s easy to pick the Ravens here given the tear they have been on in recent weeks, even if two of those wins were against the Seahawks and Cardinals. The Browns are not going to be pushovers by any means, and I can see them squeaking out a win, but I think the Ravens have the edge.

HOU @ CIN - Underdog pick of the week, of the century!

SF @ JAX - Two weeks ago I predicted that the Niners wouldn’t drop three in a row before losing to the Bengals. This week, I predict they won’t drop four in a row coming off their bye. But I’ll be glad to be wrong.

NO @ MIN - The Saints have been too unpredictable for me to pick with any confidence, so I guess I’m all aboard the Dobbs hype train. Choo choo!

GB @ PIT - The Steelers have just looked like the better team this season.

TEN @ TB - Titans seem to have found their QB.

ATL @ AZ - I don’t know what the problem is with the Cards, but I don’t think it was Josh Dobbs.

DET @ LAC - In spite of their win on Monday night, the Chargers haven’t looked real sharp this season, and the Lions are coming off their bye.

NYG @ DAL - The Cowboys should have this one, but you know, Cowboys.

WA @ SEA - The Seahawks should have this one, but you know, Seahawks.

NYJ @ LV - If the Jets can figure out their O-Line issues, they could get a win here. The Raiders on the other hand seem to have figured out their coaching issues.

    Monday
DEN @ BUF - As rough as the Bills have looked in recent weeks, the Broncos have looked worse. But damn, not by much. The Broncos winning here wouldn’t be the most surprising thing for me.

    Byes: KC, LAR, MIA, PHI
