    Omg the ABC wrote an article about a food thing from where I grew up! https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-03-09/the-florrie-horsham-steak-based-dish-history/103541146

    I spent years trying to find them around Melbourne but never did. I even asked on the alien site, but not many people even knew what it was.

    I will fight for the Florrie though. When made right, it’s absolutely fantastic and every time I stay in Horsham I still get a couple

      Back in the early 2000s, I was working in Heidelberg Heights industrial area. All the lunch caffs had a pan fried egg & breadcrumbed ham & cheese chunk in a sammo on the menu - no beef in it though. Just called a fried ham/cheese sammo not a florrie. Same idea though. Might be worth checking to see if they still do them.
