Done. You are now the new mod of !lemmyapps@lemmy.world.

On a related note, I recommend using to a lemmy.world account to moderate a lemmy.world community. Reports do not federate across instances Lemmy bug #3781, so you will not see reports that may be created in your community. If you decide to create a lemmy.world account you should now be able to give it mod rights by yourself. If it doesn’t work then let me know and I can help. Sometimes adding/removing mod rights is buggy across instances, too.

      Hello @kersploosh@lemmy.world,

Could you please have a look at how the community is managed? The behaviour of the new moderation seems concerning and opposed to the will of the community.

Long story short, the new mod

      • launched a poll run to change the community to FOSS only
      • they only let that poll run only for 20 hours before closing it, deleting the post and changing the name and rules of the community
      • once called out about this, they reinstated the poll, but refused to take into account that on several instances (including LW) the poll results were actually to keep the community for both FOSS and non FOSS clients
      • the new moderator dismisses our requests to come back to the previous status (as the poll indicated)

Update: the poll thread has been removed again.

The mod behaviour is erratic, constantly editing/removing posts and comments.

I might try to find an instance that would still have a version of the removed thread, but I guess that as admins you have access to removed content.
