This song so reminds me of my '84 Dodge Shelby Charger. Sweet little hatchback with the shitty 1.8 Chrysler Mopar engine, plastic emissions vacuum lines that broke if you looked at them, and I had to pay twice what I paid for it in repairs when I slid into a snowbank and destroyed a control arm.

BUT, I had a great radio system, with an EQ,and my poorly-mounted amp under the dashboard that my friend Chuck would rehang when I hit a bump and it fell because I never fucking bothered to mount it properly.

The Charger had rainbow decals on it so of course some shithead vandalized it while I was at work. Tires were wide, special orders that ran $1200/four in 1990s prices. I went into the Army, and my mom destroyed it on an accident. I got it repaired, but it was never quite the same.

I love how one simple post can bring back such good memories.

So true. I was on a cross country trip and bought this CD in Chicago about halfway through. I hadn’t heard this one until I bought the CD, and it just absolutely spoke to me. Has been one of my favorite songs since.

lol that reminds me of another 90’s song
