Christian propaganda as far as the eye can see.

IMHO, most CCM is utter crap…however…I am a Stryper fan.
Second Coming is awesome.
No, but if you have any recommendations, I’ll change my answer to yes
Extol’s ‘Burial’ album. You’re welcome.
Recommendations: Demon Hunter, Disciple, Red, For Honor, Fit For a King, Thousand Foot Krutch.
Stryper. Maybe more of a hair band than a metal band; but they had a little success back in the day. Couldn’t even tell ya another Christian band.
Not metal, but a few christian rock bands somehow made it to the radio in the late 90s, like staind (ugh) and creed. There was a numetal one “hit” wonder called P.O.D. as well.
I remember creed having a few songs that sounded ok, but nothing from any of the others was worth much.
POD had a bunch of great songs back in the day. Better than creed any day. Also, how has nobody mentioned skillet
Yeah I just checked their page and there were a couple on there than I remember as not so bad. Maybe I was thinking of something else. That staind song got really popular but I always thought it was dogshit
Can’t really make a useful comparison of numetal to rock though
Staind is really more post hardcore if I remember right. Never got that into them. Project86 was similar and way better
Demon Hunter has some good shit - seconded.
Tfk is nowhere near metal
Sorry about that. The band was in mind.
If y’all have never experienced Extol’s ‘Burial’ album then you’re missing out. I’m an atheist and couldn’t care less about religion but sweet jesus that is a perfect fucking album.
Top 3 of all time for me.
Yes, whenever I play Killing Floor 2. But I prefer the instrumental versions:
Ive never wanted to listen to ANY Christian music, regardless of genre, because its all mid at best
EXCEPT! For one single song: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=85SUCBCD5Rk
That’s a ridiculous argument. According to you Bach and black gospel music are mid at best. Nonsense.
Ah yeah, shoudnt have generalized like that. I was thinking of most Christian stuff on the shelves these days. And I dont think many people categorize Bach as Christian music.
But tbh, word choices in lyrical songs matter, so as others have said it DOES bring down the quality of the music. At least, for people like me I suppose. Lyrics can make a song for me, I know not everyone pays attn to the words as much as others do.
