There is a discussion on Hacker News, but feel free to comment here as well.
Samsung and bloat are synonymous, they just can’t help it but to ruin good hardware.
don’t forget the spyware that they embed in all their smartphones
I guess the thing that I really like about Samsung is their dex mode. I’d love to have a phone/desktop combo.
If pixel ever did that, I’d pick one up pretty quickly.
Or even iPhone, I just don’t want to need a computer and phone when the phone is more than powerful enough for my usage.
I totally agree with you, unfortunately my Pixel device with GrapheneOS doesn’t have anything similar to Dex mode :(
I honestly think the market is waiting on Apple to do it.
I think they have been reluctant to have a full desktop mode as most users will not understand why they need the App Store on a “desktop”.
Now that side loading is being forced on them, I hope they bring this to the phones which will kickstart phones as computers.
Anyway, my iPhone 15 will be the last phone I have that doesn’t have a desktop mode. I’ll hold out for a long time.
