Honestly, if it took until today with the small additions to the already sweeping shitbills that are codified into law before you became angry or worried, you’re just not paying attention. And an ignorant electorate deserves the fall of their country.

I’ve been shouting this from the rooftops for two decades. It’s been going on for forever (like when we gathered around the transistor radio for family fun), but now it’s just getting more creepy as technology improves.

It’s nearly impossible to be anonymous. But I do choose carefully what data to share and to whom. A very worrying trend in the US is this push to identify verify everything. You MUST use an app with fingerprinting. You must enter a valid US phone number to register. You have to send LinkedIn a copy of your photo ID… No. Just stop it.

No they don’t. That is the epitome of victim blaming.

No that’s called actions having consequences. Sometimes when you’re a victim, it’s because you’re a dipshit and you deserve it. Not everything is 100% black and white and “victim blaming” should absolutely happen when it is deserved.

The stupid Trump voters that are now upset he actually took away their right to choose on abortion are victims of their own stupidity and/or greed. Blame them. Shame them. Stop protecting them

No, I think it’s a take on the word ‘deserving’ since it’s pretty open to interpretation.

Does someone in constant pain deserve to live?

The fall of the country is probably a good thing. We need more rational people in charge.

Does someone in constant pain deserve to live?

That doesn’t really work as a comparison, because it devolves into the question “does anyone deserve to live?”

The fact is, someone fooled by someone else doesn’t deserve the consequences. The person who deceived them is the only one that “deserves” negative consequences.

Yes… because violent civil wars always lead to intelligent and rational leaders.

Get out of here with that bullshit.

And how does a violent civil war in the country with the largest military and most nukes help that? I am genuinely curious to hear your answer

You came in here with that violent civil war shit. Argue against my stance, not one you made up.

So… how does that happen peacefully without mass suffering?

Hypothetically it already happened once and nobody really cared. Remember that government shutdown?

I have several times. I end up having everything I’ve worked for taken away over and over.
