On the kbin.pub. It said:
It can communicate with many other ActivityPub services, including Mastodon, Lemmy, Pleroma, Peertube.
I thought Mastodon (and maybe other federative platforms) are very different from kbin, in terms of the intended uses and functionalities. How do I interact with it?
When I make a thread on /m/kbin, what does it do on Mastodon?
I am not sure how to see the main feed of mastodon from kbin but you can use
https://kbin.social/u/@USERNAME@INSTANCENAME to view posts from a specific user.
Kbin seems to treat individual accounts on mastodon as different magazines.
Also from Mastodon it will not appear in the main feed but you can use a fediverse link to view it and comment on it.
Next to comments and posts where it says more it will give you a fediverse link. If someone puts that in the search bar in mastodon they can connect to it.
Thanks for the info. Especially that you can view accounts from other federverse platforms on kbin. I’m going to do some experiment on my own.
Hey, in the microblog section, most of the posts come from Mastodon and other platforms. Threads are mainly from Lemmy and Friendica.
If you want to include post from Mastodon in concrete magazine, simply mention it in the post content, for example,
@kbin@kbin.social
