While I haven’t been reading manga / watching anime for long, the industry has been producing great content for a ages!
What are some older classics that you think everyone should give a chance?
Akira.
For me the “must-read” classics are Dragon Ball and Detective Conan (aka Case closed).
I would say Rurouni Kenshin is must-read material.
Some of the manga I have on my ‘to read’ list are:
I’m realizing now that these are all anime series as well… Let me know if you have any manga that haven’t been adapted!
Monster by Naoki Urasawa is one I always recommend. My favorite franchise is Mobile Suit Gundam, and The Origin by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko is a good way to get into the franchise, but I understand mecha isn’t for everyone.
Thanks for the recomendations!

Gundam is cool. I watched season 1 of the Witch from Mercury and enjoyed it, but I’ve been told its not really representative of the tone of the franchise.
