I appreciate your respect for Mitch. There are still a lot of doubts about him throughout most of the subreddit but we really believe we have our guy.

Watching him from afar I was like eh I’m not so sure about this kid. Then I watched him shred the Bengals defense like soft cheddar and realized he is fucking good.

Can’t wait to see what he does with some real receiving threats and a year of film/experience under his belt. This is a pretty big year for Mitch.

    lol

If your going to make a terrible take at least stand on your bullshit. Reddit should take away the delete button.

I thought felt old, seeing us fogeys explain Cortland *Innegan to young fans in a recent post, then I pull up a 5-year-old thread where the young’ns needed Smokin’ Jay Cutler’s “DON’T CAAARE” explained. 👴

That said, Josh Allen = Jay Cutler is looking spot-on.

“Bradley Chubb will start out pretty good. But won’t become more than an average DE. Harold Landry will become elite but it’ll take him 3 years.
Every CB in the first round will make at least 1 pro bowl in their career
In 5 years none of the top 5 QBs will be out of the league, and four will be starters.”

    1. take aged pretty good, both are good DE
    2. 2/3 corners have gone to multiple pro bowls (ward, alexander)
    3. 3 are starters and 4 are in the leauge (Allen, Baker, Lamar starting, Darnold back up in SF)

u/TTrevor11 straight looking into the future

"The Jets will draft Baker Mayfield. He’ll become Drew Brees v2.0 and finally lead the Jets to the promised land of another Lombardi trophy.

The Browns will draft Sam Darnold and Saquon Barkley. Sam won’t necessarily live up to number one overall hype, but he and Saquon will make a formidable pairing and turn the Browns into a consistent contender. An AFC title isn’t out of the question, either.

The Giants will draft Bradley Chubb. He’ll make for an effective replacement for JPP.

John Elway will make a questionable decision and draft Josh Allen at #5. Allen will sit for two years under Case Keenum, who leads the Broncos to the playoffs both years, and then starts once Keenum signs a nicer deal with the Pat Shurmur-lead Giants. Allen will bust, badly. Broncos fans call for Elway’s head as Keenum goes and wins a ring or two with the Giants.

The Bills trade up to #6 and take Josh Rosen. His career trajectory pans out similar to Chad Pennington’s, as his fantastic play and bright future are ultimately dragged down by injuries. The Bills get another playoff appearance out of him, but after various shoulder injuries, he retires after just six seasons.

The Cardinals pick Lamar Jackson at #15. He becomes the new-age Michael Vick, and along with David Johnson and a resurgent late-career Larry Fitzgerald, the Cardinals become a consistent contender. Jackson eventually leads them to the promised land as well, and the longest title drought in North American professional sports comes to an end."

Golly. This guy missed so hard.

I like the twist that the Browns actually didn’t mess up picks 1 and 4, but messed up far, far worse later on.

That post is a great reminder of why I just don’t give a shit about the draft anymore. I check in to see who the Packers got and watch some their highlights, then wait for otas. Too many people think they know more than they do and the draft outcomes are too random to be really compelling.
