    He doesn’t need to be an entire bust to think it’s time to move on.

    If we were drafting at, say, 15, with limited QB prospects, I’d say maybe we run him back out next season. But we’ve got draft assets this year, and supposedly an excellent QB class-- we don’t need to wring our hands about it.

    We can go ahead and make the change, and be happy we’re in the position to do it. We definitely shouldn’t wait until it’s too late, when we don’t have high draft choices and there’s no QB talent in the draft and we have to pay him big $$, to finally decide we need to move on.
