I have a video editing laptop with a 4 TB SSD + a bunch of small 2 & 1 TB 2.5" HDDs
I am planning to set up a drive pool using the HDDs and connecting them to the laptop using the docking station.
- Is there a way to setup the pool so that all the external HDDs are just redundant copy (none of them are individually are larger than 2 TB, but they all together would add up to over 4 TB)
- How do I set up the pool so that there is always one copy of the data on the laptop SSD so even if I unplug I can still edit my video
- Assuming that if I unplug the laptop, make change to the SSD. When I plug it in again would drive pool be able to sync the change?

No, do not do anything with the small HDD’s. If you want a backup drive, get another 4tb SSD - they’re cheaper than anything you’d put the multiple drives into & will run without being plugged into power.
You do not want sync, you want backup. Sync means if you delete something, it’s deleted from the HDD’s as well. Or save over an existing file.
