tite says it all. I upgraded my iPhone 13 to a 15, and now my Apple Watch Series 3 won’t pair - the phone “can’t find it” any suggestions? Other than up grading the watch. Don’t need the new stuff on it
Thank you
Yeah, I can’t imagine a three working on a 15 just saying one’s gonna be on iOS 17 and one’s going to be on iOS 2 lol
Makes no difference, The earliest supported WatchOS version compatible with iOS 17 is sort of technically Watch OS1, but as part of the pairing process, it updates the watch to 4.3.2 or above
I just upgraded to the iPhone 15 and I currently have the series 3. What I had forgotten to do before erasing my old phone was unpairing it from my watch. So when I got my new phone and tried to pair it, it wouldn’t work. So I had to “reset” my watch and once it did I was able to pair it.
Why yes , someone else who agrees that it can be used !!
Some many downvoters here today lol
Exactly what happened to me with my series 3, I forgot to unpair before trading in, but everything was fine after resetting the watch. Didn’t lose anything either because it let me restore the watch from a backup still
The typical downvoters are out in force - prats
iOS is backwards compatible with ALL released versions of WatchOS
An iPhone 15 pro max running 17.2 can pair with a Series 0 running 1.1 upwards
NONE of the Apple Watches so far have are unsupported in this way
Stop giving out false information .
Very confused by the downvoting, unless it is just against the tone. I do understand the original incorrect commenters though, They are probably confusing the reverse requirement, that the watch requires a certain level of iOS/phone. I know I’ve done that it the past (got the dependancy between watch and phone the wrong way round).
watchOS 10 requires iPhone XS or later, with iOS 17 and one of the following Apple Watch models: Apple Watch Series 4 Apple Watch Series 5 Apple Watch SE Apple Watch Series 6 Apple Watch Series 7 Apple Watch Series 8 Apple Watch Series 9 Apple Watch Ultra Apple Watch Ultra 2
Why tf would you even have a series 3 while having a IPHONE 15
why would you need something newer?
because “non of your business” that’s why, what a stupid comment
In my case the sudden battery life drop was the result of the watch not pairing correctly with the new iphone. This was fixed by erasing and reinstalling the os on the Watch 3. The data was resintated from the cloud.
isn’t the battery - my new phone isnt’ compatible withy series 3 watch
Its something else as it is totally compatible with iOS 17 / iPhone 15
