Hi, I’m trying to reach out to tech guys who knows how to spot a fake onset. There’s been circulating fake/cloned iphones out there that even the imei and serial numbers are legit cloned. My country does not have an applestore to go to, only authorised resellers. This will be my first iPhone, so I can’t tell from the appearance. Hope I can get some tips as to how to spot it from a tech perspective.

    Flash a blacklight on the top paper peel (idk how to say this, it’s the paper seal thing that is always satisfying about opening an apple box) on the box before opening it! You should see a faint glowing Apple logo and “iPhone” in text on it. This is by far the only method I know to spot a fake iPhone even before opening the box.
