As we all know, using a smart light switch with smart bulbs causes problems when the user turns the switch off, killing power to the smart bulbs.

I wanted to ask if there is an affordable solution to doing so without having to go with expensive decoupling smart light switches. I was thinking of hard wiring the smart light switch and smart bulbs, both will always have power. Can then toggle the smart switch to send a command to Alexa to tuen the lights on/off. I am daily confident Alexa will know the state of the bulbs, but cannot confirm. Don’t know if that will help. MTIA.

Which smart switch are you using now? You can probably modify the firmware to decouple the relay

Why not just use Smart switches? That does everything necessary except for color and honestly do you really need to play with the color of your light bulb every time
