My problem: I need more SATA ports for my new server.

I did some research and found that these LSI cards in IT mode are the recommended way to expand my SATA ports.

However I read that there are many chineese clones and I can´t differentiate a original one from a knock-off one, I’m from Brazil and I don’t have many options besides aliexpress.

I would appreciate some suggestions/advice on a good a reliable HBA card (since I plan on expanding my ZFS pool) or other ideas for solutions.

Also, I plan on maybe connecting some DVD drives to it and don`t know if theese LSI card support them.
