I don’t understand what the 5x lens does.
It can zoom up to 5x without losing the photo or video quality.
It’s a different lens and sensor. The 14 Pro max as a 77mm (3x optical) lens and the 15 pro max has a 120mm (5X optical) lens. Only the 15 pro max has the 5X optical lens though, standard 15 pro is same as the 14 pro max.
